Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound hot Italian sausage
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- low moisture mozzarella cube
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut low moisture mozzarella cheese into 3/4 inch cubes. Store in refrigerator while preparing the meat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, hot Italian sausage, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, eggs, milk, and chopped parsley.
- Roll golf ball sized balls with the meat mixture. Squish a mozzarella cube into the center of each meatball and pull the edges of the meatball around it until it forms a new ball.
- Arrange the meatballs in a slow cooker and cover them with tomato sauce.
- Cook on high for 2 to 2.5 hours.
