Banana Bread

INGREDIENTS

  • Banana Bread:
    • 1 ½ cups sugar
    • ½ cup butter
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 3 ripe bananas (over ripe, like 80% black. If you don't have that, take normal ripe bananas, peel them, and microwave until soft)
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Frosting:
    • 3 oz cream cheese (optionally strawberry)
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ¾ stick butter
    • 1 tablespoon milk
    • 2 cups powdered sugar (approx. add until desired consistency is reached)
    • 1 spoonful peanut butter (if not using strawberry cream cheese)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Grease and flour a 9x11" pan. (or a cookie sheet if you want them thin like my grandma used to make)
  2. Cream sugar and butter, then beat in eggs and sour cream.
  3. Add bananas and vanilla.
  4. Add baking soda, salt, and flour.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
  7. Spread frosting after cooling.
