Banana Bread
INGREDIENTS
- Banana Bread:
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- ½ cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 ripe bananas (over ripe, like 80% black. If you don't have that, take normal ripe bananas, peel them, and microwave until soft)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Frosting:
- 3 oz cream cheese (optionally strawberry)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ stick butter
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 cups powdered sugar (approx. add until desired consistency is reached)
- 1 spoonful peanut butter (if not using strawberry cream cheese)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Grease and flour a 9x11" pan. (or a cookie sheet if you want them thin like my grandma used to make)
- Cream sugar and butter, then beat in eggs and sour cream.
- Add bananas and vanilla.
- Add baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Mix well.
- Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
- Spread frosting after cooling.
